Teijin sells part of pharmaceutical business to LTL Pharma, including 7 products such as gout drug

Teijin announced on the 17th that it will sell part of its pharmaceutical business to LTL Pharma (Shinjuku, Tokyo). The target is the rights to manufacture and sell seven products including a gout drug, and the sale price is undisclosed. The company has already factored this into its earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. Teijin is proceeding with restructuring of pharmaceuticals other than rare diseases by selling them off. The pharmaceutical business is handled by Teijin Pharma (Chiyoda, Tokyo), a subsidiary of Teijin. Among the products to be sold is the gout drug 'Febu...' which previously drove performance with annual sales of about 39 billion yen in Japan.
