Horiba, Ltd. starts operation of semiconductor equipment factory in Kyoto Prefecture, tripling production capacity of main products.

Horiba, Ltd. announced on the 11th that a new factory for its semiconductor business has started operation in Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture. Through automation, it will increase the production capacity of gas flow control devices incorporated into semiconductor manufacturing equipment by up to three times. The company is enhancing its supply capacity, riding on the wave of expanding semiconductor demand. The new factory was opened to the press on the same day. It is a two-story building with a total floor area of approximately 23,000 square meters. The investment amount is about 17 billion yen. Full-scale operation is expected by 2030, and the workforce will expand from the current 50 to 600-800 people...
