Distill now integrates with Slack for real-time company news alerts

We are continuously working to make sure the insights you need come to you, already filtered, already summarized, and already relevant. With that in mind, we're excited to launch the Distill Slack integration.

The Slack integration allows users on the Team plan to send news from the companies they follow directly to a Slack channel. This ensures key updates land where your team is already working, immediately building the same context and enabling faster reactions.

How to set it up

Enabling the integration is quick and simple:

  1. Connect: Enable the Slack connection from Settings → Integrations.
  2. Select groups: Once connected, you can enable sending news to Slack for any group you've created.

Full control over the feed

Crucially, the integration respects all filters applied to your group, giving you complete control over your news feed.

  • If you've set the group to show only "Major news" or "Notable articles," only news meeting those significance thresholds will be sent to Slack.
  • If you've chosen to only see news about a specific topic, such as "Partnerships or joint ventures," only news related to that will be delivered.

This level of control prevents noise and ensures your team sees only the most critical moves when they happen.

Example in action: A corporate development team can set a group filter to track only "Product Launches" and "Executive Changes" for their top competitors, and push those specific alerts instantly to their "#distill" Slack channel.

Available now

The Slack integration is available now for all users on the Team plan.
