Distill now shows every source behind a story

You shouldn’t need to piece together a news story from scratch.
With our latest update, your Distill feed now automatically groups together all the major coverage around the same story – so you can get the full picture without the back-and-forth.
Instead of showing just a single article, each story card now includes a curated preview of top sources that have reported on it. You’ll see the most reputable outlets up front, and can click “+ more” to explore the rest. Each source opens in a new tab, so you can read the full version right at the original site.
Here’s what that looks like:

What’s new
- Multiple sources, one story: When several outlets cover the same topic, Distill brings them together – so you can see how each one is reporting it.
- Top outlets first: We highlight the most widely trusted and cited sources in the preview, but the full list is just one click away.
- Full articles just a click away: While the preview helps you skim quickly, you can open the original article from any source to dive into the details.
Why it matters
More context, less friction
Every outlet adds something different. One might have the scoop, another the background, another the quote everyone missed. With everything grouped together, you don’t miss the nuance.
Compare perspectives in real time
You’ll often notice small – or big – differences in how stories are told. Now it’s easier to spot those patterns and form your own view.
Stay informed, your way
Trust certain sources more? Prefer a specific writing style? You now have full visibility into how a story is covered and the choice to follow the coverage you value most.
Available now in your feed
This update is already live. You’ll start seeing grouped sources appear automatically in your Distill feed whenever multiple outlets report on the same story.
It’s a small change, but it adds up to something powerful – a more complete, more transparent way to stay informed.
Open Distill and give it a look.
